WVTRA Board Meeting Conference Call:
Members present: Charlie Dixon, Tom Barr, Owen Walker, Lorrisa Wees, Sandy Bertosh, Brent Strum, Paula McNamara, Michael Andrew, Ann Parsons, Julie Daff, Liz Ranson, Wendy Coe-Loftis

Charlie welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Minutes were read by Michael Andrew. Owen made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Second by Brett Strum. Passed

Treasures Report: Sandy Bertosh. Lorrissa Wees in the process of getting signature card from bank. Brent Strum made the motion to accept the report and Lorrissa Wees seconded the motion. Passed

Conference Report: Owen Walker announced that the WVTRA conference will be Oct 26-27, 2005 at Hawk’s Nest State Park. Room will be $70.00 plus tax. He and Wendy requested $6000.00 for the conference and they will have more information at the next meeting.

Newsletter: Tom Barr will meet with Charlie get things going. Carol will send Tom names of members that are willing to write articles.

CAD: Connie Hudson No report

CTRS: Brent Strum No report

Membership: Carol Sinsel 43 members, plus 1 during the call = 44

ATRA Rep: Carol Sinsel discussed the 2005 Teleconference Schedule and topics and the Medicare Project. She will get information to questions that were asked as soon as possible.

SRAC: Paula McNamara No report

Education: No report

Student Rep: Danny Pettry No report

Old Business:

Charlie Dixon asked that everyone please check WVTRA site for individual accuracy on name, address, phone number and e-mail address.

Tom Barr made a motion to discuss the motion for WVTRA to make a donation to the Medicare Project. Brent Sturm seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Sandy Bertosh made a motion for WVTRA to give $2500.00 to ATRA Medicare Project. Lorrissa Wees seconded the motion. Motion failed

Brent Sturm made a motion to give ATRA Medicare Project a $1000.00. Seconded by Owen Walker. Motion passed

Owen Walker made a motion not to give money to the ATRF. Lorrissa Wees seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Brent Sturm made a motion not to pay for any WVTRA board member membership to ATRA. Seconded by Sandy Bertosh. Motion passed.

Paula McNamara made a motion not to sponsor the three requests made. Seconded by Owen Walker. Motion passed. Charlie Dixon will notify Becky Berlin. Charlie Dixon will revise the sponsorship application form and for requirements for receiving sponsorship money for next meeting.

Sandy Burtosh will have more information on the WVTRA Student scholarship next meeting.

Brent Sturm and Connie Hudson will be Co-Chairs for the Fund Raising. Jeremiah Gagnon will also be a member,

New Business:
Owen Walker announced that Jeremiah Gagnon the right for the national Track and Field at Laidly Field in Charleston on July 27-30.

Owen Walker made a motion to adjourn. Brent Strum seconded. Motion passed.
