Members present: Ann Parsons, Owen Walker, Carol Sinsel, Julie Daff

The meeting was called to order by President Owen Walker.

A motion was made by Carol to accept the minutes from the 1/20/03 meeting and were second by Wendy. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s report was submitted by Wendy:

Checking: $ 5436.32
Savings: 7328.53
C.D. 4936.87
$ 17,701.72

New deposits slips were received totaling $29.25. They have Wendy’s address on them. We can get new ones or scratch through printed address. A motion was made by Carol to accept report. Paula second the motion. Motion carried.

Committee reports:

Conference: The conference will be held on Oct. 15-16 at Days Inn in Bridgeport. Lunch or dinner will be at Ryan’s Steakhouse. There is a bowling alley nearby for an evening activity. Randy Housh will be speaking on the 15th and Dan Ancone on the 16th. Rooms are $53.00 per night. We will change mailing address for registration to WVRC. A suggestion was made to include CEU fee with conference fee. We need to put on registration forms that NCTRC does not pre-approve any sessions presented at conferences.

Computer: Charlie will put minutes on WEB site.

Newsletter: Information is not getting in for newsletter. Conference information will be mailed out and put on WEB site. We will try another newsletter in the future.

SRAC: No report.

ATRA: Conference in Atlanta Sept. 12-16.

Membership: Current number of members is 46. At the January meeting we had 29.

Education: Upcoming training at Sharpe. ATRA has approved CEU’s. If you are doing an education program get the info to Owen and he will have it put on the WEB site.
CAD: No report.

CTRS: No report

President’s report: Received thank you card from Becky Berlin for sponsorship of Sharpe outing. Owen attended Parent Training Info workshop also WVPRA board meeting. Jeremiah and Owen attended 2 day workshop on pool operation certification. ATRA looking for nominees for awards due June 1. Will look into awards for state conference. If anyone knows of a CTRS that is not a member they can check the WEB site for application. Advertisement opportunity from Pressley Ridge. For a $250.00 donation you receive tickets to admission and advertisement for Sunday fundraiser at Regatta. Owen would like to donate tickets to organizations. Wendy made motion to make donation to Pressley Ridge and Julie second motion. Motion carried.

Old Business: We have 2 requests from Jeremiah for sponsorship. One is for track and field for $200.00 for May 15th and Marksmanship $120.00 for June 15th. Motion to sponsor was made by Carol and Liz second the motion. Motion carried.
We did not use money for ATRA on the Hill.

Next meeting: August 11th 12 noon at WVRC. May need to move meetings to Saturdays.
